Uninspiring Event
I purchased pricey floor tickets. The Verizon Center staff continued to seat late arrivers, unconscionably delaying the concert start. This was poor form on their part and the ignorant late attendees. The first half featured mostly operatic solos and duets, focusing on technical vocalization rather than melody. The soprano's voice did not complement Bocelli's. The support cast was a poor choice, making the first half lackluster. The second half had more familiar pieces but was only fair overall. The performers seemed more focused on showcasing their voices rather than providing a pleasant experience. Attempts to synchronize singers with the background screen failed and distracted. Kevincito appeared tired throughout the performance. Overall, I would not attend another show like this. It was a disappointing affair compared to previous experiences.
